If you are unable to attend your scheduled course, you must notify us at least 72 hours before the course start date to reschedule without penalty. If you fail to provide at least 72 hours' notice, or if you need to reschedule after this 72-hour cutoff, a £50 administration fee will apply. Course bookings are generally non-refundable unless cancelled within 24 hours of the initial booking.

If you require a replacement certificate after your original has been issued, there is a £25 administration fee to cover the costs of processing and issuing the new documentation. Please contact our support team with your full name, the course you completed, and the approximate date of completion to initiate this request.

If you fail a Highfield examination, your first exam retake is completely free. Subsequent retakes cost £30 per module. To maintain high industry standards, we permit a maximum of 3 retakes in total; if you do not pass after your third retake, you will need to re-book and pay for the full course again from the beginning.

We aim to issue qualification certificates within 14 working days of successful course completion, though turnaround times may occasionally vary depending on the awarding body (Highfield Qualifications).

Full payment must be received at least 1 day in advance of the first day of the course to secure your slot. Course places are allocated strictly on a first-come, first-served basis upon receipt of payment.

Yes. In accordance with Security Industry Authority (SIA) documentation requirements, approved training centres must verify strict identification. You must provide either 2 items from Group A, OR 1 item from Group A and 2 items from Group B. At least one document must show your date of birth, and at least one Group B document must show your current home address. All documents must be original, physical copies—scans, digital copies, or photocopies are strictly rejected.

Group A Documents: Signed valid passport (any nationality), signed valid UK photocard driving licence issued by the DVLA, UK original birth certificate (issued within 12 months of birth), UK Biometric Residence Permit card, or signed valid photocard driving licence and paper counterpart issued by DVA Northern Ireland.

Group B Documents: Valid UK firearms licence with photo, P45 or P60 statement issued in the last 12 months, bank or building society statement issued to your current address less than 3 months old (maximum of two statements from different banks), mortgage statement issued in the last 12 months, pension/endowment/ISA statement issued in the last 12 months, utility bill (gas, electric, telephone, water, satellite/cable TV) issued within the last 3 months (maximum of one utility bill), credit card statement within the last 3 months (maximum of two from different providers), official letter from HMRC, DWP, Jobcentre Plus or local authority issued in the last 3 months, or a Council Tax statement issued in the last 12 months.

No. Providing correct original identification is a strict legal requirement set by the SIA for all course attendance and examinations. If you fail to bring valid documentation, you will be turned away and a rescheduling fee will apply.

Yes. Under current SIA regulations, anyone enrolling on a Door Supervisor or Security Guard course must already hold a valid Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) certificate (or accepted equivalent qualification). Furthermore, your certificate must have at least 12 months of validity remaining on the first day of your training.

The SIA will check your criminal record history for the last 5 years. If you have convictions, you will be asked to explain the circumstances, and the SIA will decide whether to grant your licence. Convictions within the last 12 months relating to violence, deception, or theft are generally not considered acceptable.

No. The standard fee for an SIA licence is £184. This fee is paid directly to the SIA when you apply for your badge, is valid for 3 years (except for vehicle immobiliser licences which last for 1 year), and is separate from your LB Training course fee. If you apply for multiple licences, a 50% discount applies to subsequent applications.

The SIA will check your address history for the time you have resided in the UK. However, if you lived abroad during the 5-year window, you must supply an official overseas police check or certificate of good conduct from each country you lived in previously.
