SIA Training & Refresher
Comprehensive SIA Door Supervisor courses and refreshers with scenario-led instruction. An SIA licence is valid for 3 years, and learners must complete the refresher before expiry to extend it for another 3 years. A valid First Aid at Work qualification is also required, and that qualification is valid for 3 years before renewal.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a first aid certificate before starting my SIA course?
Yes. Under current SIA regulations, anyone enrolling on a Door Supervisor or Security Guard course must already hold a valid Emergency First Aid at Work certificate or accepted equivalent, with at least 12 months remaining on the first day of training.
How long is my SIA licence valid for?
Your SIA licence is valid for 3 years. Before it expires, you complete the SIA refresher to top up your licence and extend it for another 3 years.
How long is my First Aid at Work certificate valid for?
Your First Aid at Work qualification is also valid for 3 years. Once it nears expiry, you will need to complete a renewal or refresher course to extend it for another 3 years.
When will I receive my certificate?
We aim to issue certificates within 14 working days of successful course completion, although this can vary depending on the awarding body.
