View courseComprehensive SIA Door Supervisor courses and refreshers with scenario-led instruction. An SIA licence is valid for 3 years, and learners must complete the refresher before expiry to extend it for another 3 years. A valid First Aid at Work qualification is also required, and that qualification is valid for 3 years before renewal.

Yes. Under current SIA regulations, anyone enrolling on a Door Supervisor or Security Guard course must already hold a valid Emergency First Aid at Work certificate or accepted equivalent, with at least 12 months remaining on the first day of training.
Your SIA licence is valid for 3 years. Before it expires, you complete the SIA refresher to top up your licence and extend it for another 3 years.
Your First Aid at Work qualification is also valid for 3 years. Once it nears expiry, you will need to complete a renewal or refresher course to extend it for another 3 years.
We aim to issue certificates within 14 working days of successful course completion, although this can vary depending on the awarding body.
